JOCHI

The singer. The rapper. The reggaetonero. The bartender.

He has so many stories to tell—too many. Ask his girlfriend if she’s tired of hearing of him writing about his exes. Is he toxic or is it just Miami?

He’s Ecuadorian. But we call him our Switzerland. Why? He’s on board with anything we make. Which means, if he’s on your side in an argument, you have no one on your side. Because he’s on every side.

TANIS

The guitarist. The steady hand. The gambler and rambler. We asked him to describe his music in one word. He gave us an essay. It boiled down to ‘emotion.’

As long as the audience feels something, he says, it’ll be alright. Even if they don’t like it, apparently, because hate is certainly an emotion.

We can thank Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Fruisciante, and Eddy Van Halen for whatever love or hatred we may feel when he starts to solo—which is ideally in every song.

ANDER

Hardly a drummer. Hardly present. Hard to ignore. Formally a writer. Formerly a vlogger. He resents both.

He lives in Chicago and that’s probably for the best.

The more he visits, the more he must say goodbye. Which is better? What genre is better? Where has all the rum gone?

There are plenty of questions. And whether he knows the answer or not, you know damn well he’ll give his opinion.

ZACH

The guitarist turned bassist. The heartbeat of the band.

Seriously. He writes all the guitar parts. Then Tanis ignores them all and tells him to play it on bass. So he writes none of the guitar parts.

But that doesn’t stop him from trying. You should see the WhatsApp chat. It’s either Jochi spamming stickers or Zach spamming licks.

But without him, there would be no edge, a home would be left without a pizza, and Ander would be really bored.

ROSE

The momager of four dudes and Moishe (Shush’s Dachshund mascot).

She doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish, but can feel, time, and tune every single one of Tanis’ guitar licks.

We met her two gigs into Shush. She was watching the UM game. Canes won. We won harder.

Now, she exclusively films JOCHI at the studio (never Tanis), counsels Ander through his love affairs, and makes sure Zach feels seen, despite him never moving an inch during a performance.

SKIA

Patience is a virtue our producer does not have. But a car? He doesn’t have that either. Kind words? Definitely not. But music taste? Still, too soon to tell.

Yet, if this works, it’ll be thanks to him. If we’re hard rock, it’s thanks to him. If FaceTime has way more distortion than JOCHI intends, it’s thanks to—

He grew up mixing rock. Thankfully, he found us so he returned to form. And we found him so we added some humbuckers. And sass. And brutal honesty. And sass again.

MICHI

The artist of the band. She deserves to be paid more. We deserve to make enough to pay her more.

In the mean time, it’ll be death by 1,000 rough drafts thanks to picky clients (Ander).

Despite her recent divorce, you can find her drawing at the nearest wedding, and drinking at the nearest afters.

We have a million rough drafts sitting in our dropbox. Normally, we’d be hesitant to share them. But Michi ensures all our sketches are beautiful. Or maybe we’re just beautiful.

TEAGAN

Do we look good or is it just our photographer? Yes.

She is the most disorganized organized person of all time. We call her our SSD—our Micro SSD.

But can call her at any hour and we guarantee she’ll be awake.
We’re lucky she takes time off her oontz oontz music to rock with us.
